The Blancpain Speed Command Chronograph is the latest addition to the brand's rigorous collection of sports watches.

The case construction of the chronograph watch is based on a successful combination of new materials such as sapphire, carbon, DLC-coated steel. The watch is clad in black featuring yellow or orange accents. The technical supremacy of the timepiece is guaranteed by a self-winding flyback chronograph movement.

The brushed DLC-coated (Diamons Like Carbon) steel case of the Blancpain Speed Command Chronograph measures 45 mm in diameter. It offers an advantage of 300-meter water-resistance. It is coupled with a bidirectional 'countdown' type black sapphire rotating bezel.

The black carbon fibre dial featuring chequered effect is completed with stylised orange or yellow Arabic numerals that will remind you of the dashboards of legendary sports cars. The sloping inner dial ring features a tachometric scale facilitating read-off. You will also notice red Superluminova touches applied to the hour and minute hands, as well as the central chronograph seconds hand - these details provide optimal legibility of the dial.

The Blancpain Speed Command is equipped with Calibre F185, a 308-part mechanical self-winding flyback chronograph movement, providing a 40-hour power reserve. The mechanism encompasses the following functions:

• hours, minutes, small seconds at 6 o'clock,
  
• a window-type date display,
  
• the chronograph functions presented via the central chronograph seconds hand, 30-minute and 12-hour counters positioned at 3 and 9 o'clock respectively.

For further enhanced performance, Calibre F185 has incorporated a new exclusively-designed oscillating weight crafted in rhodium-plated yellow gold. The raised five-arm rotor has been inspired by wheel rims of a racing-car.

The Blancpain Speed Command Chronograph is accompanied by a rubber-lined Barenia leather strap fitted with a steel pin buckle.

"The watch is pretty fashionable although my Nike watch is a lil nicer to look at, a LOT lighter, and a lil more functional when it comes to working out. The Puma is a little more complicated and instructions are way to basic they barely tell you how to activate the functions they do not explain why you would activate the features. Otherwise it is just a cool watch because its made by PUMA."
