"I discovered this brand a few weeks ago thanks to a sale Overstock was having, and absolutely fell in love with this design. Like others have said before me, yes, the details are black not brown. When I opened the box I was immediately impressed. It's big, heavy, clearly very well put together, and the design has impressed a lot of friends who have Rolex/Movado/etc in their collection. Even the little details in the packaging like the Stuhrling-branded microfiber polishing cloth and the logo on the clasp have the hallmarks of something significantly more expensive. Visually very impressive, nothing looks cheap, and feels great on my wrist. The face of the watch looks great, with the little carvings on the main metal face being a nice touch, and it's very helpful to be able to see how wound the watch is. This has been a daily wear for me since I got it and it's survived the holidays and some environments that kill other watches without a single hitch. I haven't tested it in water, but I'd rather not risk ruining the leather band. It seems like I could use it to knock out a bear in the middle of a sandstorm and it'd keep on ticking, which is a feeling I haven't gotten from the less expensive watches I've had in the past. The only minor issues I have with this one are that it doesn't have a date (but that's clear in the description, and something I knew when I purchased it) which I find myself wanting, and there's no hack mechanism as far as I can tell. The former is just a matter of this particular model, the latter is something that you can overcome with a little finesse backrolling time setting knob until the movement (and thus second hand) stops. That's the reason for the 4 star on features, though I wish I'd been able to make it 4.8 stars, as it's a very minor thing. Overall, I'm not a major watch expert, though I've handled a lot of very expensive pieces over the years, and I am very impressed not only with this watch, but with the company itself. If you're not into huge heavy watches, this particular model might not be to your liking, but they've got a lot of other designs on overstock. Several friends I've showed it to from a range of walks of life and income brackets are looking at purchasing either this one or another Stuhrling in the near future, and I've already purchased another one through Overstock. The company has earned my business for life, and Overstock has yet again demonstrated a great deal, shipping, and wisdom in product choice."
